This is a set of two signed strips of paper (tanzaku) featuring calligraphy and poetry. One is from the former chief priest and head monk of Zenko-ji Temple, the Great Master Genmyo Tsuzuki, who was also the head monk of Daikanjin. The other is from the former chief priest of Zenko-ji Temple and head monk of Daihongan, the 119th High Priest, the Venerable Chiei Omiya, a female spiritual leader and Great Master. Both are valuable historical documents, representing the work of the two chief priests who supported Zenko-ji Temple during the Showa era. They are beautifully framed in good condition. The frame measures 62 cm in height and 32 cm in width. The items will be carefully packed and shipped.
