Living a Posh life extends far beyond the clothing and accessories we wear. This Francois Laurin Dragonfly French Museum Vase is a beautifully crafted earthenware piece. This vase features a stunning multicolor design with a dragonfly theme, reflecting the exquisite craftsmanship of French pottery production techniques. Made in France, this unique piece adds a touch of history and elegance to any collection or display, making it a valuable and sought-after item for collectors of decorative pottery and glassware. It was crafted by François Laurin Pottery in the Bourg-la-Reine region of France, which was populated with many art potteries at the time and is signed and dated 1876 by the artist. The colors are rich and bold. The dragonfly is magnificent, as are the willows and plants that adorn the vessel. Born in France in 1826, his works are found at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan and Philadelphia Museum of Art. This spectacular vessel measures 19 3/4 in height and approximately 26 1/2 inches around the body of the vessel. Francois lived until 1901. Please note, the current owner will not ship this directly to Europe or anywhere overseas. They will only allow me to ship to a US address, with the recipient bearing the responsibility of shipping overseas. The piece is invaluable. There are minor chips at the base and top, as shown. Neither alter the beauty and splendor of this incredibly rare work of art.
