Antique 1920s Hustler Betty Roll Duck Wood Pull Toy Sterling IL 7.5”

Wonderful antique wooden duck pull toy attributed to the Hustler Toy Corporation of Sterling, Illinois, dating to approximately the mid-1920s to early 1930s.  This example appears consistent with Hustlers Betty Roll Duck line and measures approximately 7¼7½ inches long and 5 inches tall overall.  The duck is constructed of painted wood with a bright yellow body, black decorative wing graphics, red head accent, and four blue wooden wheels. The underside features an unusual metal articulated/swiveling wheel assembly, allowing the wheels to move as the toy is pulled.  A particularly desirable feature is the partially surviving original Hustler paper makers decal on the underside/side of the wooden body. The decal is worn from age but remains partially identifiable. There is expected age-related wear throughout, including scratches, scuffs, paint loss, edge wear and surface marks. The blue wooden wheels show wear from use, and the metal hardw
