Student Motivation, Productivity & Effectiveness Workshop

This workshop focuses on motivation, time management, focus and productivity using new tools, techniques and technologies. This workshop works effectively with the Student Health & Wellbeing Workshop. The workshop includes activities to set you up with a motivation, productivity and effectiveness plan.

University-Parents Workshop – Supporting Your Children’s Motivation, Wellbeing and Success

In this workshop we look at evidence-based approaches to support your child’s motivation, wellbeing and success. In this workshop we cover motivational theories that have been proven to foster both wellbeing and high quality motivation, leading to better outcomes. Mindsets and behaviours that foster high engagement and motivation of students are discussed in this workshop.  Who it’s for: Parents of university students Aim/Outcomes: Understand and implement strategies to support your child’s wellbeing and effectiveness. Educator’s Workshop – Cultivating the 3C in our Students

In this session Dr. Sakhaee shares how to support our students to cultivate three qualities: creativity, collaboration and care. He shares the ways this has been done with students at various programs he has led at the University of Sydney between 2014 and 2020 including the Leadership Scholarship Program and the Dalyell Scholars Program.  Who it’s for: university education-focused and teaching academics Aim/Outcomes: Focuses on how teachers can use mindsets and approaches to cultivate a sense of creativity, collaboration and care in students. Educator Workshop – Autonomy-Supportive Education

According to Self Determination Theory, intrinsic motivation and autonomy-supportive motivation is both high in quality as well as supports wellbeing whereas extrinsic and controlled motivation leads to both lower wellbeing and higher stress. This workshop explores how we can foster intrinsic and autonomous motivation in our students, in oppose to traditional extrinsic motivators such as rewards and punishment such as grades, awards and detentions.
